The Mardasson Memorial (commonly called the Mardasson) is a monument high on a hill located about two kilometers northeast of Bastogne. Inaugurated in 1950, it testifies to the recognition of the Belgian population to the American soldiers who, during the winter of 1944-1945, gave their lives during the battle of the Ardennes to counter the last German offensive of the Second World War.
